Entertaining, but lacking

I had fun playing this game, but a few things stop me from giving it higher than a 7. Firstly, it's fairly annoying that whenever you go back to the menu, the song stops. In the beginning, you hear the first 5 seconds of the song over and over. It's also kind of annoying how there's no "next level" button. You HAVE to click menu and then click the level, which kind of breaks the game's flow. I also didn't like how it felt clunky changing the colors. It would have felt better using different keys besides the arrows. Besides those things, it was fun and enjoyable experience with a cool techno-oriented style. I had fun playing through most of the game.

I must enter a summary for my review.

He's such an idiot......It's just a shame he makes so much money because the rest of the world is a bunch of idiots. Great job, it was really funny hearing all the things he said.

"probably dead"...?

Like I'd kill myself over an idiot typing things to me... If he was a real cyberbully he would misspell every other word and abbreviate things that need no abbreviation. Also, I was typing things like "Keep going it makes me horny." It would have been nice if he had responded in stead of constantly saying things at a set interval. Oh well, it was simple and taught a lesson. Good enough.

Notya Funya

I don't see how I'm supposed to be laughing when I'm so ridiculously pissed off at how terrible the controls are...
Also I wouldn't call this a "platform puzzler" most of the "puzzles" are straightforward, but they're just impossible to do because of the lack of a sturdy control scheme. The ending wasn't worth it, the gameplay wasn't enjoyable, and the jokes were hardly funny. I give you a 6 because I like your art style and I understand that making flash games can be difficult.

My arm....my arm....

By video game standards, this is an amazing game. By FLASH game standards, this is a "simultaneously shit and ejaculate all over the room" game. I played for nearly two hours...which is crazy for a flash game. The controls were rock solid, simple and effective. The items were great, although you really didn't need to buy any armor for at least 2 realms and spells weren't really useful at all. The tasks added more challenge and a sense of accomplishment to the game. Lastly, the upgrade system was nearly flawless. However, I wish there were some differences between each bow besides arrow spread and damage, like maybe bouncing arrows or homing. All in all, I love this game and I am going to send the creators my firstborn child by UPS in repayment for such a great experience. Thank you gentlemen.

Don't get me wrong but...

I love the overall style of this game and the simple platforming elements, however I found myself angrily yelling at the screen most of the game...I even went so far as to phrases such as "COME ON COCKMEAT BOY JUMP! JUUMP!!!" It's not that it's a BAD game. I just find that Meat Boy doesn't like to stand still in the air and that he likes to slide UP walls a bit. The game is too sensitive for using a keypad- but that doesn't mean I didn't have fun. I had a blast playing the levels and each one was its own challenge. My fingers on my right hand hurt from pressing the keys so hard from wall-jumping.... The music is nice as well. It's gonna be stuck in my head for a while now....

Soothing and entertaining

This game proves that you don't need flashy upgrades, high powered graphics, or even advanced game play to make a good game. The music isn't techno, or rap, or rock, much to the music game genre's dismay. Instead, you play through peaceful and beautifully breathtaking piano sonatas. Magnificent.

Well done

I liked the atmosphere of the game. The way the greyscale collaborated with the music and effects was great. Even as I was running I looked at the scenery in the background, the broken buildings and giant robotic monsters gave a very good overall tone to the game. The music also fit very well and wasn't too flashy or too subtle. Good job.

...

My score was going up nicely until the end, when I was depending soley on tiny triangles to fill out the board. Getting rid of a piece costs 1000? That's a bit high. Seeing as five minutes of playing gets you to around 15000 or so...Otherwise it was fun, and stimulating to the brain...somewhat.

Keep it coming, AS.

Your games set the bar for unmatched hilarity. I couldn't play so well because I was cracking up at the concept. Beating the shit out of a vending machine, IN AN ARENA! Hell yes!

How about NO.
